Due to recent life changes the time has come to sell my beloved MR2. It is a 1987 hardtop with ~91k miles, silver exterior and blue interior, manual windows and door locks (light weight!). It has a clean CT title. This particular car was originally owned by a family friend until it was purchased by my family in 2002. It has a clean CT title. This particular car was originally owned by a family friend until it was purchased by my family in 2002. Over the years I have done quite a bit of work to it including: Tokico Illumina adjustable dampers Eibach Pro-Kit springs Prothane polyurethane bushings Earles stainless steel brake lines H&T rear anti-swaybar HKS muffler Clear front turn signals 15" alloy wheels (which will need refinishing to look their best) Unfortunately the original engine failed around 90k miles (the crank pulley bolt sheared and the key damaged the end of the crankshaft as the pulley wobbled on the shaft). After sitting for several years while I was in college I finally got around to sourcing and installing a replacement engine. My dad drove the car occasionally but since he retired several years ago it has been sitting. It has always been stored in a semi-climate-controlled garage so it's still in remarkably good shape for a 37 year old car that has been sitting for most of the past ~20 years. After an oil change and a fresh battery it runs, drives, stops, etc. However, it is running a bit rough and the tires are 20+ years old so it will definitely need TLC before it can be a daily driver. It would be an awesome winter project, and honestly I'm pretty bummed that life has gotten in the way of me giving it the full restoration it deserves. As an added bonus I have a bunch of parts that are included with the sale: the original 4A-GE engine an extra 5-speed manual transmission a 4A-GZE long block SpeedSource 4A-GTE turbo manifold and downpipe (and a bunch of associated oil lines, gaskets, etc.) a bunch of black interior parts (including an uncracked dashboard and a set of nice cloth seats and leather door panels) an '89 LED spoiler all of the frunk/trunk bits that you probably noticed are not currently installed in the car stainless steel clutch line a set of t-tops (with key, from the car that donated the GZE engine) the original set of keys (master and valet), key code tag, and dealer tag Toyota service manual (the Big Green Book) and more! (see pictures) The car is currently stored at my parents' house in central CT. I am looking to get $9k for everything (car and parts). Cash only, no trades. There is a bit of flexibility in the price, especially for a serious buyer with a concrete plan for when and how they will pick everything up.
