Description

This is a Toyota MR2 with a brushed metal wrap and an aggressive fully adjustable suspension. It has custom Koni coil-overs. Rebound can be adjusted as well as height and camber. Our Take:
  • Iconic Mid-Engine Layout: The 1988 Toyota MR2 is part of the first-generation line-up, often celebrated for its unique mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration. This layout gives the MR2 a distinct driving dynamics—something akin to more exotic sports cars. It's like getting that forbidden fruit flavor without having to mortgage your house for a Ferrari badge.
  • Aftermarket Upgrades Galore: With the addition of custom Koni coil-overs and adjustable suspension components, this MR2 seems ready to tackle the twistiest roads. Enthusiasts often appreciate the ability to tailor their car's handling to their precise taste, much like how a chef seasons a favorite dish.
  • First-Gen MR2 Rarity: While the MR2 line saw significant popularity, these early models (especially in good condition) are becoming rarer sights on modern roads. At 206,000 miles, this one has clearly lived a full life—yet it tells a story of resilience and long Sunday drives through winding hills.
  • Quirky Personal Touches: The brushed metal wrap and removed air conditioning showcase a previous owner's dedication to reducing weight, perhaps hinting at track day intentions or spirited backroad driving. Reinstalling the compressor could restore comfort for those hotter drives, but leaving it off might keep this MR2’s diet intact.
