Our Take:
  • The 1993 Mazda RX-7 is a legend in the car world, revered for its rotary engine—a rare find in modern times. The 13B-REW engine was a twin-turbocharged rotary that delivered a unique driving experience; many enthusiasts describe it as a rollercoaster of high-pitched excitement. Rotary engines, though quirky and needing special care, have a devoted fan base due to their distinctiveness and power delivery.
  • With a manual transmission and a coupe body, this RX-7 embodies the pure, unfiltered joy of driving. Manual transmissions are becoming less common, so grabbing one is like finding a needle in a haystack for enthusiasts who appreciate the old-school charm of shifting gears. It’s a car that demands attention—both from its driver and from onlookers.
  • The RX-7’s sleek design and aerodynamic style were ahead of their time in the early '90s. Inspired by the curves of nature and perhaps a bit of '80s anime futurism, its design remains timeless. This might be why it's been a poster child for import car culture and has graced video games and movies alike—ever heard of "The Fast and the Furious"?
  • Seeing 170,000 miles on the clock is impressive for this type of drivetrain. It speaks to dedicated maintenance, or maybe just a bit of luck, considering rotary engines are renowned for needing meticulous care. High mileage on a rotary is a badge of honor, hinting that this car's been part of adventures and stories, now digitally chronicled on a YouTube channel—perfect for those who crave a car with a narrative.
