This is a 1988 Merkur Xr4ti, it has Fords 2.3L Turbo I4 connected to a 5 speed manual transmission. I bought this car just over 2 years ago (at 55,000 miles) in Idaho. I ended up getting the engine rebuilt. Including the cylinders being bored out, a new used cylinder head, Carrillo pistons and rods, and all engine seals being replaced. All the machining/engine work was done by Karl Kustoms. It has been a fun semi-daily driver ever since. Beyond the rebuild I haven’t done much besides regula... Beyond the rebuild I haven’t done much besides regular maintenance, roof rack, Apple CarPlay, and the Sparco wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires (2,000 miles on them). The previous owner converted it from an automatic to T5 manual transmission, put SPAX struts/shocks with MC/2 Hypercoil, 200lb front springs and Eibach 550lb rear springs, and a catalytic converter delete. This is a great car but it’s not perfect, I want to be as transparent as possible let me know if you have any questions!
