I’m not perfect by any means however my list of additions, modifications and improvements over the years will impress even the most diehard Volvo fans. My original restoration began back in 2010 after sitting garaged indoors for over 2 years and it was a complete tear down removing practically everything including all of the interior, glass, motor and transmission. My paint/clear coat has worn away in spots since then and I have a few small dents and dings but nothing serious. I also have some spots of rust here and there but again I was born in 1984. My motor has never been rebuilt but nearly everything else on the car has been touched, modified or replaced, as a matter of fact I replaced the AC compressor, timing belt and new low beam LED headlights recently. While the car was apart I coated nearly every interior surface with HushMat sound deadening material, even the roof. The tweedy interior was replaced with a nice soft vinyl with stitching to match the original look. All dash lights replaced with LEDs and I even upgraded the power window switches to lighted versions from later Volvos. I installed hidden and delayed under dash lighting and another set of underdash LEDs controlled by a dash switch. The list of things done to this car goes on and on and to make that easier to see I’ve included a link to a PDF Doc on my web site that you can view easily; it lists everything I did to the car and the date. Clean Florida Title and there might be one incident on the CarFax when a very distracted driver hit it on the rear bumper and I had to replace the cover, no structural damage.
