Description

2003 Audi C5 RS6. This is one of the lowest mileage examples in existence. I brought it up here from the south as a platform to modify an already amazing car. To this point it is completely stock. I just don’t have the time. My loss is somebody’s gain. It is very clean, but does have the typical issues for this car, not all but some of them. The DRC is on its way out, which happens in 100% of these. I chose not to install new coil overs, not knowing what the next owner would want in there. O...

Our Take:
  • Rarity and Originality: The 2003 Audi RS6 is a bit of a unicorn, especially in its unmodified, stock form. With just 56,500 miles on the clock, it's one of the lowest mileage examples out there. It's like finding a vintage first-edition book with its dust jacket intact—a treat for any enthusiast who appreciates originality.
  • Performance Pedigree: What makes the C5 RS6 particularly special is its 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Back in the day, it churned out a stout 450 horsepower, making it one of the fastest sedans available. It's akin to having a small thunderstorm under the hood, thanks to its Quattro all-wheel-drive system providing exceptional traction.
  • Notorious DRC Issues: The seller mentioned the Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) system on its way out—this is a known quirk of the C5 RS6. While it might sound like a red flag, replacing it with coilovers is a popular choice, offering enthusiasts a chance to tailor the car's suspension to their exact taste. Think of it as getting to curate your very own playlist on a classic iPod.
  • C5's Timeless Appeal: While some cosmetic blemishes might be bothersome to a perfectionist, they add character to a 20-year-old car that's seen life. These quirks are reminders of Audi's bold design language from the early 2000s that still holds its own next to modern designs—like how a classic vinyl record sustains its charm against today's digital downloads.
