Our Take:
  • Heritage and Design: The 1993 Acura NSX, especially in its NA1 form, is a significant piece of automotive history. It was Acura's first attempt at a supercar and got a lot of input from the legendary Ayrton Senna during development. The Formula Red color is iconic, reminiscent of the brand's racing roots, and remains highly sought after by collectors.
  • Driving Experience: With its 5-speed manual transmission, this NSX offers a pure and engaging driving experience that many enthusiasts crave. Hondas, and by extension Acuras, have always nailed that gearbox feel—snappy and precise. Given its mileage of 118,000, it’s seen a healthy amount of the open road, which is often a testament to a car that's been cherished.
  • Rarity Factor: The stock condition of this car is truly a gem since many NSXs have been heavily modified over the years. The simple change to NA2 rims doesn't detract from its originality and may even enhance handling slightly. Keeping things OEM shows a respect for the car's lineage, which is something purists will appreciate.
  • Maintenance and Condition: The fact that all maintenance is up-to-date, including critical items like the timing belt and water pump, is key to preserving the car's reliability. New OEM parts replace aging ones, which is crucial in maintaining the car's performance and originality. The small issues noted, such as the brake master cylinder and a couple of cosmetic spots, are relatively minor—especially given that the seller is proactive about resolving them.
