Our Take:
  • Rare All-Wheel-Drive Pioneer: The 1984 Audi 4000 Quattro stands as one of the early trailblazers in all-wheel-drive systems for passenger cars. It was part of the revolution that solidified Audi’s reputation for marrying performance with everyday usability. This specific vehicle, with its unique drive configuration, offers a fascinating glimpse into the technological strides of the early '80s.
  • Blend of Original and Upgraded Features: The seller mentions a 7A block with an Audi 90 20v head and other enhancements like the "bundle of snakes" header, making it quite a Frankenstein’s monster of Audi engineering. It's a real treat for those who appreciate mixing vintage charm with a dash of performance enhancements. Just the idea of a 4000 sporting such a mix of parts makes it a conversation starter at any car meet.
  • Enthusiast's Dream with Genuine Rally Heritage: Equipped with genuine rally lights, this 4000 Quattro taps into Audi’s rich motorsport heritage. The intentional wiring of these lights to the AC switch is a quirky feature that highlights the owner's unique take on modifications. It’s as if this Audi wants you to feel like you’re piloting a rally champ, even when parked.
  • Treasure Trove of Spare Parts: The inclusion of numerous hard-to-find components, such as unique glass pieces and subframes, makes this deal even sweeter for the Audi aficionado. Collectors and restorers often find themselves on the hunt for these parts, so having them on hand is like finding gold at the end of a rainbow—a rainbow shaped like a winding country road, of course.
