Description

I bought this a year ago with the intention of completing overhauling it. I changed jobs and have not had anytime to get to this, it’s been sitting in my driveway. It runs decent but it’s a 27 year old bmw. It needs work! Our Take:
  • Classic Status of the E36 M3: The 1998 BMW M3 belongs to the E36 generation, a beloved model among BMW enthusiasts. It represents the transitional era of the M3 lineage, bridging the gap between the rawness of the E30 and the sophistication of the E46. While it's a common sight at car meets, finding one in original condition or with tasteful modifications like this one can be quite a gem.
  • Manual Transmission Appeal: This M3 features a manual transmission, which is highly coveted by purists and those who relish the genuine connection between driver and machine. In a world steadily encroached by automatic and dual-clutch systems, a manual E36 offers a driving experience that's both engaging and nostalgically satisfying.
  • Performance Upgrades: With BC Racing coilovers and a Corsa cat-back exhaust, this M3 isn't just about looking good—it's also about enhanced performance and handling. These upgrades align with the car's sporty nature, promising an experience that's both fun and rewarding on winding roads. Imagine taking the scenic route on a Sunday drive; isn't that what owning an M3 is all about?
  • A Few Restoration Opportunities: While the paint job and interior could use some love, they present a canvas for the next owner to inject personal flair. Given the included suspension parts, this M3 invites a hands-on approach that many enthusiasts find deeply satisfying. The idea of bringing an iconic car back to its former glory is what makes projects like this genuinely exciting.
