Our Take:
  • Introducing the 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo: The 944 Turbo, or "951" as enthusiasts know it, marked the first turbocharged version of the Porsche 944. This version debuted in 1986 with a significant performance leap thanks to its turbocharged inline-four engine, which was quite the engineering marvel back then. Who can resist a classic Porsche with some serious under-the-hood prowess?
  • Historically Significant and a Bit Rare: The 1986 model was the first year the Turbo was introduced, making it a noteworthy piece of Porsche history. These cars were often hailed for their balance and handling, with weight distribution that made them a joy to drive. Finding one that's an unrestored survivor is akin to stumbling upon a hidden gem in the automotive world.
  • A Time Capsule on Wheels: With just 130,000 miles and a manual transmission, this car promises a driving experience that's akin to stepping back into the late 80s. Plus, it retains its original Blaupunkt radio—a nod to the era's high-tech in-car entertainment. It's like flipping through an old photo album every time you turn the key.
  • Nostalgia Wrapped in Style: The nearly pristine interior, rated 9.5 out of 10, and the crack-free dash suggest this car has been treated with the utmost respect. How often do you find a nearly four-decade-old car with such an impeccable interior? And those factory seat covers? They're like the automotive equivalent of your grandma's plastic-covered couch—preserving everything underneath!
