Description

1995 Lotus Esprit S4S · Coupe · Driven 36,800 miles Lotus Esprit S4S Turbo. Last year of the 4 cylinder engine. Highly desirable vehicle in British Racing Green exterior and Magnolia Leather interior. I am the second owner. I Purchased the car June 1999 from first owner (who bought it new in 1997). I bought the car with slightly under 10K miles on it. I have never raced or abused the car. No accidents. Car still has original paint, however some clear coat is peeling, and a little paint is miss...

Our Take:
  • A rare piece of Lotus history: The 1995 Lotus Esprit S4S holds a special place as it's the last model sporting the iconic 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine was the heart of the Esprit since the late '70s, and by '95, it had been fine-tuned to produce a thrilling 300 horsepower. You might say it's the swan song for Lotus's classic turbo-four legacy.
  • Distinctive color and design: Few things scream "classic British sports car" more than a Lotus in British Racing Green. This particular Esprit S4S combines that timeless exterior with a plush Magnolia Leather interior, offering a delightful blend of sports performance and style. It's like wearing a sharp suit and running shoes simultaneously—because why not?
  • Low mileage and careful ownership: With only 36,800 miles on the clock, this car has been cherished more than driven. When it comes to older sports cars, lower mileage often means there's still a lot of life left in the engine. Plus, the detailed service history, including a major service as recent as 2021, suggests that it's been maintained with the care of a true enthusiast.
  • A car with its quirks: The Esprit S4S is kind of like that cheeky British uncle who still knows how to have fun despite a few wrinkles. Some clear coat peeling and minor paint issues add character; it's a part of its authenticity. And let's not forget—it’s got a manual transmission, which amplifies the driving excitement and connects you even more to every twist and turn.
