Our Take:
  • The 1993 Mazda RX-7 is a halo car for the rotary engine enthusiasts. It's part of the third generation, also known as the FD series, which is famous for its sleek design and lightweight body. The RX-7's twin-turbo 13B-REW rotary engine is a marvel, often revered for its unique performance characteristics—rev-happy and, quite frankly, a bit of a mechanical rebel.
  • With 79,341 miles on it, this RX-7 has seen some action but isn't a battle-scarred veteran yet. Low mileage examples are becoming increasingly rare, considering this car was built over three decades ago. With a manual transmission and performance upgrades like a mild street port, it promises an engaging driving experience characteristic of the RX-7's soul-stirring legacy.
  • Performance modifications make this RX-7 stand out even more. The addition of Tien coilovers and a 3” catback exhaust hints at sporty handling and an exhilarating sound, respectively. Modifications like the AEM boost gauge and the Apex FC commander suggest that this RX-7 was set up with driving pleasure and performance in mind.
  • The cosmetic and minor mechanical issues are typical for a car of this vintage. Original paint with some nicks, along with rock chips and minor dents, shows its authentic wear over the years. These gentle bruises don't detract from its heritage but serve as badges of its storied past—just think of it as a patina of history on wheels.
