Description

Great daily driver / project car. Very rare car with only 4,150 of these being brought in the US between 1999 and 2001. Parts are easy to find since they were built on the same drivetrain as the Trooper, Rodeo and Honda Passport. Originally a Michigan car so it had its bottom rust issues. Over the past 3 years I’ve taken care of several points: New backup camera and screen New LED headlights New battery New brake calipers and pads New windshield New radiator New timing chain New water pump Ne...

Our Take:
  • Rarity and Limited Production: The 1999 Isuzu VehiCROSS is indeed a rare gem, with only 4,150 units imported into the U.S. between 1999 and 2001. It’s like finding a rare vinyl record in mint condition at a garage sale—especially cherished among collectors and off-road enthusiasts who appreciate its unique design and scarcity.
  • Unique Design and Off-Road Credentials: The VehiCROSS is famed for its futuristic design and rugged capability, resembling something you'd see in a sci-fi flick from the '90s. Beneath its bold exterior, you'll find it built on the same reliable underpinnings as the Isuzu Trooper, Rodeo, and even sharing components with the Honda Passport, making it both practical and adventure-ready.
  • Engineering and Maintenance Notes: While the VehiCROSS shares its drivetrain with more common models, parts accessibility is a mixed bag—easy for some components, yet challenging for its unique body parts like the cladding. The seller's attention to maintenance (including a new timing chain and water pump) is a reassuring nod to its longevity, though minor issues like the quirky AC performance remind you of its character.
  • Attention-Grabbing Presence: This vehicle doesn’t just get you from A to B; it demands attention, turning heads wherever it goes. It might just be the vehicular equivalent of wearing a neon jacket in a sea of black suits—impossible to ignore and undeniably unique.
