Description

Up for sale is my clean title 2001 E46 M3 Cabrio. 84,750 miles and a clean Carfax aside from something minor in ‘06 Beautiful car in fantastic mechanical condition, I’ll cut right to the chase. It’s got very light hail damage (5 dings on the trunk and 8 on the hood ) it’s very minor (look at the last picture to see how minor it really is) and it’s nice that this is a convertible since the damage was mitigated to those panels. Aside from that it’s a great car. It’s got some wear after all it is ...

Our Take:
  • Iconic Status: The 2001 BMW E46 M3 is widely regarded as one of the most iconic M3 models ever produced. Known for its near-perfect balance, the E46 M3 combines precision German engineering with a driving experience that feels almost telepathic—it's the kind of car that turns a mundane drive into something more akin to a ballet.
  • Engine and Performance: Under the hood, you'll find the revered S54 inline-six engine, a mechanical marvel capable of delivering 333 horsepower. With a redline of 8,000 RPM and the manual transmission, this car offers an engaging and dynamic drive. It's an engine that sings in a way that's rare in today's turbocharged world, which makes it all the more special.
  • Convertible Rarity: While the E46 M3 Coupe might be more common, the Cabriolet version adds a twist of open-air freedom. This particular model, despite its age, maintains its mechanical integrity with its vanos and subframe pleasantly attended to—an often-discussed topic among BMW enthusiasts.
  • Cultural Footprint: The E46 M3 has not only captured the hearts of driving purists but also left its mark in pop culture. Whether it's through video games or movies, the car has been celebrated as a symbol of performance and style. Owning one today is like having a piece of automotive history that's both nostalgic and exhilarating—think of it like owning a beloved classic vinyl record in a streaming-dominated world.
