This car has been in my family for over 21 years. My father and I bought it from Bell Audi in 2003 with approximately 13k miles on the odometer. He sold the car to me in 2008 and I’ve owned it since then. The car comes with a number of period appropriate modifications. In 2012, the car underwent a significant performance upgrade with the addition of Tial 605 turbos, ER intercoolers, lightweight flywheel, heavy duty clutch, high flow fuel pump, enlarged downpipes and AWE exhaust. The car was custom tuned at EPL by then owner Tony. The dyno showed 425 HP. These performance upgrades were complemented with handling and braking upgrades including Stasis Ohlin coilover suspension and Alcon 6 piston calipers in the front. The car has been well maintained over these years and mostly garage kept. Most service and upgrade work was done by Audi specialist shop, 82 Autowerks in Geigertown PA. After their closure, the car has been maintained by Performance Automotive in Malvern PA. The most recent major service was ~$4,500 to address suspension maintenance. It does not look like a 23 year old car! The paint is in pretty good condition. There is no flaking of the clearcoat. It has been driven and enjoyed, so there are rock chips on the front bumper and hood. Interior is very clean, with no tears in the leather. Two sets of floor mats are included in the sale, including the sought after OEM rubber sport mats. Two sets of tires and wheels are also included, a set of BBS CH wheels with summer tires and OEM wheels with blizzak snow tires. Several other accessories are also included, original 6 CD changer, “phatbox” MP3 hard drive system, original brochure, owner’s VHS and three keys. The good: - Fun to drive, sounds great! They don’t make them like this anymore! - One family owned for over 23 years - Well maintained by reputable shops - Never tracked - No major accidents - Clutch and turbos replaced at 100k - Timing belt done ~10k miles ago - New battery - Just passed PA inspection The bad: - Oil leak to keep an eye on, likely the valve cover gaskets - A couple scratches (passenger rear door, front bumper). Detailed pictures available on request - Was in several minor rear end accidents over the years. I always reported these to insurance. Each time the car was stopped and an inattentive driver rear ended it at a low speed. Rear bumper cover has been replaced each time.
