Description

Could be a really awesome car with a bit of love, needs a little engine work but does run, needs to be trailered as it needs either new seals for the supercharger or rings. (Doesn’t have a lot of compression) zero rust and interior is in almost mint shape. Hate to see it go but I have to many projects right now. Dm for questions. Will not respond to is this available. ...

Our Take:
  • German Engineering Meets Uniqueness: The 1991 Volkswagen Corrado G60 is a standout in the landscape of early '90s coupes, known for its innovative features and distinctive design. Under the hood, it boasted a 1.8-liter eight-valve engine with a G-Lader supercharger, giving it a lively personality that set it apart from other sports coupes of its era.
  • A Cult Classic in the Making: The Corrado didn't become a bestseller, but it earned a cult following over time. Enthusiasts appreciate its front-wheel-drive dynamics combined with the spirited boost from that unique supercharger—it's a thrilling reminder of Volkswagen's adventurous engineering spirit.
  • Interior and Heritage: Not often do you find a 1991 model with interior features that stand the test of time, but this one claims a nearly mint condition inside—an aspect that holds sentimental value for collectors. It's a car that carries the echoes of the past, uniquely representing the transition from the playful '80s designs to the more refined '90s look.
  • Worth the Mechanical Endeavor: Despite needing some engine love, the rest of the car appears solid—zero rust is a big deal! The manual transmission adds to the driving pleasure, making it a project worth considering for anyone with a penchant for bringing classic gems back to life. After all, isn't the satisfaction of reviving a piece of automotive history part of what makes car projects so rewarding?
