Description

I have 1993 Atx Ford Taurus SHO for sale. I'm the 3rd owner. Originally a California car. Was purchased by the manager of the dealership in Cali and the second owner was here in nebraska. The vehicle has 61,500 original miles. Clean title and current registered. Everything is Original from the factory except I put a new head unit because the factory cut out but still have it. I put in new 6x8 rear speakers and re-tinted all the windows. Has practically brand new tires on from previous owner. Com...

Our Take:
  • Rare Performance Variant: The 1993 Ford Taurus SHO (Super High Output) stands out as a performance-oriented version of the otherwise practical Taurus. Equipped with a Yamaha-built 3.2-liter V6 engine for the automatic variant, it delivered a peppy 220 horsepower, which was quite impressive for a family sedan of its era. The SHO badge remains a cult favorite among enthusiasts who appreciate its blend of practicality and performance—think of it as the sleeper hit of the early '90s.
  • California Roots: Originally hailing from California, this car's history adds a subtle allure, especially for those who admire rust-free vehicles. California cars are often coveted in the car enthusiast world for their dry climate, which typically results in better-preserved bodywork. Here, you're looking at an example that's been cherished enough to avoid Midwest winters, suggesting a level of care that's music to any collector's ears.
  • Preserved Condition: With just 61,500 original miles on the clock, this Taurus SHO remains in remarkably preserved condition—almost like a time capsule from 1993. While the original radio's been swapped out, the owner thoughtfully kept the factory unit, showing a nod towards maintaining originality. These little details, along with a comprehensive maintenance binder, speak to the car's well-documented and careful stewardship.
  • Garage Queen: Always garaged and sheltered from rain and snow, this car's been treated like a member of the family. It's the sort of care regimen any classic car aficionado would appreciate; a true "garage queen" preserved for sunny day drives. Enthusiasts who value pristine condition will likely be thrilled at the prospect of a rust-free, well-maintained SHO.
