Time to loosen up some space, so my 1969 Fiat 124 Sport Coupe needs to go to it’s next caretaker. I picked this car up around 10 years ago as a project. This car has the 1438cc motor which pulls strongly with optional 5-speed transmission which shifts smoothly with no grinding in any gear. I had it out for a run a couple days ago, 70 on the freeway was comfortable and stable! New carpet and sound deadening. Good interior although the dash pad could use replacing. Gauges work and overall, the interior is a comfortable place to spend time and it has 3-point seat belts too. Newer paint, good chrome and stainless. Very clean former California car from the old AAA decal on the windshield and it shows with minimal rust anywhere. It is an old car so unknown mileage and a couple of items could use attention, the driver’s window has some quirks going up and down and I have an alignment scheduled although the current set-up is quite good and tracks straight. Lot’s of recent work on it including replacement starter, change of oil and coolant, brake work, a couple of new bulbs, timing and points reset. Gas tank, pick-up and lines recently addressed as well as an electric fuel pump added. New tires including spare, and new panels in the trunk with sound deadener and rubber mat. New weather strip and exhaust/muffler, newer battery, replacement heater box and fan, horns repaired, rebuilt brakes (hoses, calipers, cable, booster, master cylinder…), new rear KYB shocks, replacement 4.11 rear with new seals and good u-joint and center support, wipers repaired but single speed now, replacement 34mm carb cleaned and rebuilt, replacement coil and ignition switch. She runs like a champ now and looks amazing in the period yellow. Price is $16,750.
