Description

Selling my running elva. It comes with another set of wheels with brand new racing tires some interior pieces and all documentation from the 70s up to the 90s. Vehicle has a 1.8 mg engine and lotus brakes and suspension original dash and windshield (comes with a 4 speed that has synchros other like the 3 speed without them currently) Vehicle has bad gas and runs a little rough but does run and drive. I do have headlights for it only would let me post so many pics and videos. Cons. Needs paint...

Our Take:
  • The 1964 Elva Courier is a rare gem in the automotive world, with only about 500 produced annually. Elva, a British brand known for lightweight sports cars, was encompassing something special. These cars are often overshadowed by more mainstream classics but offer a unique piece of racing heritage that car enthusiasts cherish.
  • Under the hood, you'll find a 1.8 liter MG engine, a choice that reflects the brand's emphasis on performance with affordability. Coupled with Lotus-derived brakes and suspension, this setup provides a driving experience that's as thrilling as it is nostalgic—almost like dancing on a track built for the sophisticated hooligan.
  • The mention of Bruce McLaren might catch your attention; while McLaren wasn't directly responsible for producing this model, Elva Cars and the McLaren name have crossed paths in motorsports history. It's a tantalizing detail that adds intrigue—like finding out your local band once opened for the Beatles.
  • Even though it needs some refurbishing—like paint and interior work—the Courier comes with original documentation and some fascinating accessories. The combo of a 4-speed gearbox with synchros and the extra set of racing tires points to a car that's not just a museum piece but a potential weekend racer, ready to relive its glory days on the track.
