This 1973 Triumph Dolomite is a right-hand-drive example that is powered by a 1850cc slant-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in blue with black vinyl sail panels, and gray cloth interior. The car is equipped with 13” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and beauty rings and chrome bumpers.
The car reportedly spent time in the UK, New Zealand and Canada before being imported to the USA by the current owner. This Dolomite is now offered in Oklahoma with a workshop manual, extensive service records and a clean Oklahoma title.
The car is finished in French Blue with a black grille, C-pillar coverings, tail panel and lower front and rear bodywork. Other exterior details include chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome trim, two speed windshield wipers, quarter vent windows, driver-door side mirror and a single exhaust outlet. The seller reports no rust has been identified, and the seller states that the car was repainted under previous ownership.
Steel 13” wheels with chrome hub caps and beauty rings are mounted with 155/80R13 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. A spare wheel is stowed in the trunk. Braking is provided by front disc and rear drums.
The cabin houses front bucket seats, rear bench in gray cloth and black carpeting, while wood veneer trim adorns the dashboard and upper door panels. Appointments include a heater, shelf below the dashboard, clock and locking glove compartment. One rear seat belt has been added.
The stock starring wheel frames illuminated Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120 MPH speedometer, tach, and auxiliary gauges and warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles approximately 28k miles added under current ownership. True milage is unknown.
The 1859cc slant-four is equipped with a single overhead camshaft, an 8 valve cylinder head and dual Stromberg carburetors. The seller states the carbs have been rebuilt in the last several years, and Pertronix electronic ignition and coil have been added, and the original radiator has been recored. An electric fuel pump has also been fitted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The seller reports the transmission was rebuilt in 2022 and a new clutch was fitted at that time. Other recent maintenance includes a new windshield, tires, front brake pads and rotors and rear brake hydraulics. The prop shaft center bearing was replaced, and the driveshaft was balanced.
Offered by the selling dealer with documentation, extensive maintenance records, a Certificate of Excellence from Vintage Triumph Register and images of the car throughout the years.
