Description

1988 Yugo GV, in new condition. No dents, no scratches, no sun fade. Yes it only has 468 miles, that is correct (documented). Started it up about 2 years ago, flushed the antifreeze. It ran 100%. I did not drive it, I just moved it back and forth. Have original paperwork and title from new. Would like to clear up some space that is why I am putting it out there. Car is currently mounted on a trailer. Trailer can go with the car. This is as close to new as you will ever find. True time capsule. T...

Our Take:
  • A true time capsule: The 1988 Yugo GV isn’t just a car; it’s a piece of automotive history frozen in time. With only 468 miles on the odometer, it’s practically untouched and offers a peek back to the late 80s—complete with its original paperwork and flawless condition. It’s like finding a VHS tape of a Patrick Swayze movie in mint condition; not exactly mainstream, but undeniably nostalgic.
  • Rare survivor status: While the Yugo GV was infamous for its affordability and simplicity, finding one today that's in such pristine condition is as rare as spotting a DeLorean that actually hits 88 mph without hiccuping. The fact that it’s never been restored and remains in its original mint state makes it a unicorn among Yugos, a brand that often struggled with longevity.
  • Manual transmission enthusiasts, rejoice: The GV sports a manual transmission, which offers a pure driving experience—though, admittedly, not a performance powerhouse. Back in the day, Yugo pitched it as a simple, cheap ride; today, it’s more like a quirky collector’s item. It's akin to driving a mechanical timepiece that many of today’s digital-age drivers may never experience.
  • Cultural icon with a mixed reputation: Despite the mixed reviews during its original release, the Yugo GV has attained a certain cult status. It was even mentioned in pop culture, like the memorable scenes in ’90s movies where the protagonist drives the "underdog car." Now, it’s something of a conversation piece—perfect for those who appreciate the peculiar charm of automotive oddities.
