Description

The time is coming to finally sell my Volvo S60R. THE GOOD: Brand new ELEVATE 3.5 inch stainless downpipe, ELEVATE programming, module for ECU reflashing, brand new BBS 19 inch rims, practically new tires, ELEVATE titanium lug nuts… new brakes, new oil & filter change, hasn’t run in five months because I’ve been driving my BMW, but runs mechanically perfect. All electrical accessories work‼️ Driver side headlight needs to be adjusted. The electrical connection is sputtering on that headlight. P...

Our Take:
  • Rarity and Performance: The 2005 Volvo S60R is something of a sleeper in today's car world. Volvo packed a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine under the hood, delivering around 300 horsepower—a hefty output for its time. Add a manual transmission into the mix, and you've got a rare beast capable of keeping enthusiasts grinning from gear to gear.
  • Unique Upgrades: It seems the seller invested significantly in aftermarket parts. ELEVATE products boost performance, and the stainless downpipe and programmable ECU module suggest this car was tailored for more aggressive driving. The BBS 19-inch rims wrapped in nearly new tires are like a cherry on top, providing enhanced handling and a visual flair that turns heads.
  • Condition and Opportunity: Sure, the interior's a bit worn with some stitching issues here and there, but for a car nearing two decades old, that's not surprising. The advertised mechanical soundness despite sitting idle hints at a robust drivetrain—one that could still offer plenty of thrills over the next few years. Fixing up the suspension and the odd electrical gremlin could be a satisfying weekend project for a DIY enthusiast.
  • Community Prestige: Among the Volvo community, the S60R is fondly remembered as a spirited attempt by Volvo to entice driving enthusiasts. It didn't quite steal the limelight from its German rivals, but it's definitely appreciated for its quirky charm. Owning one, especially one with such thoughtful enhancements, might earn you a respectful nod at any car meet.
