UPDATE 9/12: I have significantly dropped the price by $18,000 due to some technical rear end damage that occurred to the Defender. Defender will be sold as-is because I don’t have time to repair it before sale unfortunately. I was quoted $5500 to fully repair the damage. Title is CLEAN and will stay clean as damage was minor compared to value. New photos do damage added.

I'm selling my 1985 Land Rover Defender 110 with a 300 TDI diesel engine swap from a late nineties Land Rover Discovery and a R380 a5-speed manual transmission. It runs and drives great for a nearly 40-year-old english utilitarian rig. The 4x4 works perfectly, both high and low. The transmission also shifts smoothly through all gears.
I imported the Defender myself from England in 2022 which makes the first owner stateside and I believe it had 3 previous owners in the UK. I was also able to get a hold of a decent amount of records from England when I purchased it and all the service records since I imported it for all of the service and upgrades I've done to it in the last 2+ years. It has clean title which I have in hand. I own the Defender free and clear.
It is also considered a "one-man camper" as it has a convertible bench seat bed in the rear, shelving, electrical plug ins powered by solar panels on the roof with a deep cycle battery, and other additions that make it comfortable and fun to camp in.
Nearly the entire suspension has been refreshed and replaced with upgraded/OEM parts which completely change the driving experience. It handles incredibly well, both on and off road. Easily drives in a straight line when braking or cruising when you take your hands off the wheel.
Recent upgrades listed below. All parts were purchased from LR Centre Limited, Rovers North, Rimmer Bros, and Atlantic British.

I'm sure there are a few things I am forgetting since I upgraded so many parts, both inside and out, of my Defender and if I remember them I will add them to the list. I have receipts for all of the parts and all of them were professionally installed by certified shops.
I will also upload interior shots as soon as possible once I finish installing the new carpet kit and re-mount the front seats.
It still requires a few things to make it perfect, including:
- Roof lights need to be connected.
- Warn winch need to be wired. Comes with wiring and remote control.
- There area a few spots where the paint is faded or previously repaired including a small section on the drivers side rear panel behind the sliding side windows.
- A couple tiny spots where the paint has bubbled due to rust. One spot is lower left corner of the drivers door. It's hard to even notice unless it's pointed out.
- The tires are nice and big all-terrains but are also old and should be replaced. I'm planning to purchase and mount four new tires and will update the ad when I do.
- Also, when I had the new digital speedometer installed they were not able to transfer the exact miles to the odometer, but I do have the original odometer that will be included which reads roughly 130k miles.
If the ad is still up then it is still available, I will not respond to messages asking if it is still available.
Also, please include your contact info if you are serious about coming to see it in person. Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to answer them.
Price is $25k firm
