Description

UK market 1982 Citroën Dyane 6 Cote d'Azure edition and one of only a very small handful of Dyanes in the US. I have a 2CV as well and have loved this car but we have too many toys and not enough storage unfortunately. Lots of new parts and runs great and consistently with good suspension and really eye catching colors. Feel free to message with any questions. Clean and clear Georgia title in my name. Thanks. ...

Our Take:
  • A Rarity in the US: The 1982 Citroën Dyane, especially a UK market Dyane 6 Cote d'Azure edition, is quite the rarity on American roads. Originally conceived as a more refined alternative to the Citroën 2CV, it wasn't officially exported to the United States, making this a bit of a unicorn in terms of classic imports.
  • Iconic Design and Colors: The Cote d'Azure edition is famously known for its specific aesthetic flair—typically featuring unique, eye-catching color combinations that evoke the zest of French coastal vibes. As far as design goes, the Dyane's quirky, minimalist lines are the automotive equivalent of a vintage French bistro: charming and delightfully unique.
  • Mechanical Simplicity: Under the hood, it's powered by a humble yet plucky air-cooled engine, mated to a manual transmission that enthusiasts adore for its simplicity and ease of maintenance. The car's suspension—a marvel of its time—guarantees a smooth ride that feels like you're floating over the road, a hallmark of Citroën's engineering prowess.
  • Cultural Impact and Historical Footnote: While it might live in the shadow of the 2CV, the Dyane has its own slice of automotive history, having played a significant role in mobilizing rural Europe in the latter half of the 20th century. With its unique heritage and character, it's a conversation starter at any classic car meet—an embodiment of quintessential French automotive charm.
