Description

This is a beautiful car and has been my minor project car for 2 years. Garaged nearly its entire life before I bought it in high school and kept it garaged for two years. Drove it throughout the fall of 2022 and into the summer of 2023. Starts, runs, and drives amazing. Steering just stopped working. Electric seats and windows work perfectly Radio and stereo/speakers in original and near pristine condition. Brand new tires, battery, and just got the oil changed. Moving across the country...

Our Take:
  • A Luxurious British Classic: The 1986 Bentley Mulsanne is a shining example of British luxury from an era when craftsmanship and attention to detail were paramount. Named after the Mulsanne Straight at the Le Mans racing circuit, this vehicle embodies a blend of speed and luxury that Bentley was known for. It’s a big saloon with a spirit of grandeur that stands out even today.
  • Rarity in Modern Times: This model hails from a period when Bentley was producing cars in relatively low numbers, making any surviving example rarer than your average modern ride. The fact that it's been kept garaged for most of its life means it's likely in better shape than many of its contemporaries. Considering its age, the mileage is fairly low, suggesting a life of careful ownership.
  • Original Features Intact: Finding a classic car with its original radio and stereo in near-perfect condition is like stumbling upon an untouched time capsule. It's a testament to how well the vehicle has been cared for over the years. This, coupled with the new tires and battery, suggests that it’s been attended to lovingly, although the steering issue will need addressing.
  • A Moving Project: Although the seller notes the steering has given up the ghost, this can be an exciting challenge for the enthusiast who loves to roll up their sleeves. It's not just a piece of history; it could be a rewarding project for someone who wants to revive an elegant part of automotive history. The blend of personal care and the vehicle's heritage could be enticing for the right buyer.
