Description

Selling my 2005 BMW m3 comp package. Been a fun sunny day car for past 5 years, prior was a daily. Garage kept under car cover. Really don’t want to sell but also it’s just sitting and taking up space at this point. New clutch, smg pump done about 40k miles ago. Runs great but does have a check engine gremlin I can’t figure out. Have not tested cause when I drive it, it’s fine. Runs strong and pulls hard but here and there after being up to temp then sit at a red light on a hot day, check engine...

Our Take:
  • E46 M3 Legacy: The 2005 BMW M3 is part of the iconic E46 generation—a beloved chapter in M car history. Known for its balanced performance and precise handling, this model still turns heads today. The E46 is often compared to Swiss watches: timeless and highly valued among enthusiasts.
  • Competition Package: This particular M3 comes with the sought-after Competition Package (ZCP), which includes upgrades like the CSL's steering rack, larger cross-drilled brakes, and exclusive 19-inch wheels. It's like having a sprinter's physique in a sophisticated tuxedo—ideal for those who appreciate performance nuances.
  • SMG Transmission: Equipped with the SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox), this M3 offers a unique driving experience, bridging the gap between manual and automatic. While some purists might pine for a traditional manual, the SMG provides a quirky but rewarding drive that's as much a conversation starter as it is a point of debate.
  • Maintenance and Modifications: With a recent SMG pump test and maintenance like a new clutch and Vanos adjustments done, it seems well-cared-for. The lowered stance on H&R sports gives it an aggressive look, perfect for showing off at local cars and coffee meetups. Remember, a happy car always has a story to tell—this one just might be a bestseller!
