Description

Selling my all original unmodified Kouki GTS coupe. I'm sad to be selling my 86, unfortunately I no longer have the space to store and maintain it. Engine and drivetrain are in perfect shape. Zero issues starting and revs freely. Interior is nearly flawless. No cracks in the dash, no tears in the seats, no broken plastics. All electronics are functional, including the stereo and tape deck. Sun roof and door seals don’t leak. The body has some minor surface rust and the current paint speaks...

Our Take:
  • Cult Classic Status: The Toyota AE86, especially the 1986 model, is a cultural icon among car enthusiasts worldwide. It gained fame as the hero car in the anime series "Initial D" and has been revered for its lightweight chassis and balanced handling. If you’re a fan of drift culture or Japanese car history, this car has pedigree written all over it.
  • Original Kouki GTS Spec: This particular model being an "all-original unmodified Kouki GTS coupe" is a rare find indeed. The "Kouki" refers to later models of this generation, which often had refined features and slight cosmetic upgrades. Keeping it unmodified is rare because these cars are commonly tuned and altered for performance driving, so finding one in this condition is like discovering a hidden gem.
  • Mechanical Integrity: With an engine and drivetrain that are in "perfect shape," the heart of this AE86 beats strong. The allure for many AE86 enthusiasts is the high-revving 4A-GE engine known for its durability and character—like that classic rock album you can play on repeat without it ever getting old.
  • A Storied Survivor: Despite a minor accident with a salvage title, it’s impressive to note the "flawless" condition of the underside, with "perfect floors and frame rails." Such resilience is testament to its build quality. It’s been carefully brought back to life, with professional rust repair and a rebuilt status, just awaiting a fresh paint job to fully shine again. It's like a comeback story that collectors can't resist.
