Description

Last year of the C126 chassis, black on palomino, the most elegant combination of the 1980s in my opinion. The pristine interior is the great feature here, it is in excellent condition with the exception of the headliner, leather is soft and the burlwood is magnificent as you can see in the pictures, in the exterior there is a ding on the fender and one dent on the passenger door. All electronics work. High mileage but very powerful. Suspension is super soft. The car has been stored so it will ...

Our Take:
  • A Pinnacle of Luxury: The 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC is the final production year of the C126 chassis, marking the end of an era for the S-Class Coupes. As one of the most luxurious and advanced vehicles of its time, it boasted features like antilock brakes and airbags—considered cutting edge back then. It's like finding the last chapter of a classic novel, full of grandeur and subtle charm.
  • Iconic Design: The black exterior paired with palomino interior captures the quintessential 1980s Mercedes aesthetic, known for its understated elegance and enduring appeal. The interior's burlwood trim and soft leather are reminiscent of luxury yachts, offering a tactile experience that car aficionados deeply appreciate. Even with a ding or two, this vehicle's design remains a timeless tribute to its era.
  • High Mileage, High Stories: With 235,670 miles under its belt, this 560 SEC has undoubtedly seen a few adventures—perhaps more than your average sedan. Mercedes' engineering prowess shines through, often enabling these engines to serve well past the 200,000-mile mark if maintained carefully. Maybe it once roamed the autobahns or cruised down coastal highways; who would mind dreaming a little?
  • Technological Marvel: All the electronics working at this age is like finding an old record player that still spins perfectly. The 560 SEC was known for its robust electronic systems, a testament to the brand's commitment to quality. Granted, a paint correction might be needed to restore its outward glory, but beneath, it remains a formidable example of German engineering.
