Description

Clean title & pink slip in hand. I have owned this car for 3 years, but I don't drive it enough to justify owning it. Very well-maintained E34 M5. Aside from that, no other car quite puts a smile on my face like this one does. Additionally, it comes with the original set of style #21 throwing star wheels. ~240k miles on the chassis and ~100k miles on the rebuilt engine. The gauge cluster broke and was replaced many years ago with a genuine M5 cluster so it shows ~84k miles. I have receipts to ...

Our Take:
  • The 1991 BMW M5 is part of the iconic E34 generation, known for its blend of performance and understated elegance. It was one of the last hand-built M models, which gives it a special place in automotive history. With its robust S38 inline-six engine, it's no wonder why these cars are beloved by enthusiasts.
  • With cars like this M5, there's something quite satisfying about the manual transmission, isn't there? Enthusiasts cherish the engaging driving experience it offers. Additionally, the car features the original style #21 "throwing star" wheels—a nod to motorsport-inspired design that aficionados drool over.
  • Having nearly 240,000 miles on the chassis yet only 100,000 miles on the rebuilt engine, this M5 is a testament to the dedication of its owners. The meticulous maintenance and comprehensive receipts, including the rare original window sticker, speak volumes about the love lavished on this car.
  • While the car has a few quirks like a non-functioning AC and a temperamental trip computer—quite common in cars of this age—the real charm lies in its driving feel and heritage. In a world shifting towards automatics and digital screens, an E34 M5 like this, despite its minor flaws, offers a crisp, analog driving experience that’s getting harder to find.
