Our Take:
  • Nissan Pulsar NX from 1989 is indeed a bit of a unicorn on the roads today. Known for its quirky design, the Pulsar NX is remembered for its modular features like the t-tops and removable rear hatch. This model offers a unique blend of sportiness and practicality that was quite innovative for its time.
  • Under the hood, the 1.8 L 4-cylinder engine was modest but reliable. While it might not win any races, this engine was known for being dependable and efficient—traits highly valued in the late '80s. The automatic transmission might take away some of the spirited driving feel, but hey, it makes for an easy-going daily commuter.
  • The low mileage is a significant highlight, especially for a vehicle over thirty years old. At just 75,000 miles, there's still plenty of life left in this little hatchback. Despite the salvage title due to an accident, the seller mentions that the door damage is repairable, which could make it a great project car for enthusiasts who appreciate a bit of DIY spirit.
  • The pop-up headlights are a nostalgic throwback to a distinctive automotive era. Combine those with functional air conditioning—a feature that wasn't always standard back in the day—and you've got a car that mixes vintage appeal with some creature comforts. For anyone who’s nostalgic about that '80s vibe, this Pulsar NX might be a real gem to restore and enjoy.
