Description

Up for sale or trade is my 1993 Toyota Mark II JZX90. To preface, this car is not pretty but it is mechanically sound. It has a w58 manual 5 speed swapped in from a 1994 Lexus SC300. I purchased this car with a blown transmission. I put in a brand new competition lightweight clutch and flywheel along with a new clutch slave cylinder. The w58 was just dropped in a few thousand miles ago and I drive the car regularly with 0 mechanical issues. I also just installed a brake adapter kit to fit is30...

Our Take:
  • A Rarity on the Road: The 1993 Toyota Mark II, particularly the JZX90, is a bit of a hidden gem among car enthusiasts. While it's well-loved in Japan, it wasn't officially sold in many international markets—making sightings on Western roads quite special. The manual transmission conversion using a w58 from a 1994 Lexus SC300 adds to its uniqueness, considering these cars typically came with automatics.
  • Performance-Driven Enhancements: Under the hood, this Mark II sports a 1JZGE engine, a nod to Toyota's legendary 1JZ family known for its robust performance and tuning potential. Paired with a competition ultra lightweight clutch and flywheel, it promises an engaging drive. The addition of BC Racing coilovers means it's ready to handle whatever curvy roads you throw its way. Who doesn't love a well-tweaked suspension?
  • Brake Upgrade Bonanza: The seller's upgrade to IS300 brakes is a noteworthy improvement, enhancing stopping power with parts known for their reliability. This setup, including an adapter kit, shows that the car's been thoughtfully spec’d for better control and safety. The newer rear brakes with less than 2,000 miles are a bonus, indicating recent investments in maintenance.
  • Style and Grip: The Origin Lab fenders and N-Style rear flares don't just add visual flair but also accommodate the impressive 18” Kansei Roku wheels. Their staggered setup (18x9 fronts and 18x10.5 rears) with the EZKnuckles V2 jzx90 angle kit suggests that this ride isn't just about straight-line speed—it's ready for some spirited cornering action, too. The NRG bucket seats mean you'll stay snug and comfy even when the drive gets a bit wild.
