Our Take:
  • A Cult Classic in Compact Sports Cars: The 1976 BMW 2002 is nothing short of a legend in the world of compact sports sedans. Born out of BMW's "Neue Klasse" era, the 2002 model series was pivotal in cementing BMW's reputation for creating agile, driver-focused cars. It’s the poster child that many credit with laying the foundation for the 3 Series we know today.
  • Last of Its Kind: The 1976 model year marked the final production run for the 2002 series, making it a sought-after year for collectors. With a manual transmission, this car offers an authentic driving experience that's become a benchmark for enthusiasts. It's like holding onto a piece of Bavaria's automotive soul.
  • Unique Features in Original Form: This particular example boasts original features like the cigarette lighter and ash tray—details often lost to time in many restored vehicles. The fact that it still has original windows and trunk panels speaks volumes about its preservation; it's akin to finding an untouched vinyl record in a world of digital downloads.
  • Nicely Preserved and Some Extra Goodies: With a fully restored interior and original factory stickers under the hood, this 2002 has clearly been cherished. The offer includes extra parts and zero rust, which is like finding a vintage packet of Tic Tacs at the gas station—unexpected and delightful for those in the know.
