This is a rust-free and beautifully restored 1959 Jaguar XK150s Roadster for sale. It is finished in the old English white and red leather interior. I acquired this vehicle from an Estate in The Commonwealth of Virginia. I was told that this vehicle went through an extensive and high quality restoration at a cost over $80k. Every component was rebuilt, restored, or reconditioned. Since, it was occasionally used for parades, car shows, or just leisure cruises and stored in a climate controlled garage. I do not have the restoration documents (please don't ask about them) however the car speaks for itself
This is a true XK150s with the serial number starting with the letter "T". It is equipped with a matching 3.4L, high compression, 6 cylinder engine, triple 2" SU carburetors, a 4 speed manual transmission with an electric over-drive, and power 4 wheel disc brakes. The engine block number and the head numbers match with the number stamped on the data plate located in the engine compartment.
Please read the detailed description below, view the high resolution photos and the driving video before asking questions. Here is the detailed description:
Exterior:
The body panels are razor straight and have great shut lines. The doors, hood and trunk open and close with ease. The high quality paint is glossy with a deep finish with a few minor imperfections. There are a few tiny chips (the size of a pencil tip) that have been touched up and hardly noticeable.
The under-carriage including the floors, frame, inner sills, inner fenders, etc. are rust-free and coated with a black rust-prohibitive paint.
All chrome and bright works were refinished and look great. The light lenses and badges are in excellent condition. The car has the correct Jaguar headlamps with a "J" insignia. The windhsield and side glass are in great condition. The car has a brand new black everflex convertible top. The top and frame fold nicely behind the seat. Unfortunately, due to the cold weather I did not want to raise the convertible top up to take photos. The car rides very smooth on a new set of chrome wire wheels and new Uniroyal tires. The chrome spinners are new.
Interior:
The seat upholstery, door panels, dash, etc. were redone in red glove-soft Connolly leather. The wilton wool carpets are like new and protected with a set of Coco mats. The center dash and instruments were refinished. The steering wheel is in very good condition but has couple of minor flaws.
Mechanical:
The engine starts immediately every time (upgraded with an electronic ignition). It runs smooth, has great oil pressure (40-60 psi), runs cool, does not smoke, and performs well. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smooth in all gears and the clutch is strong. The power 4 disc brakes function properly. The brake system were recently redone including rebuilt master cylinder, new rotors, pads, and brake lines. A new stainless steel exhasut system has been recently installed. This car is a joy to drive.
Electrical:
All lights, gauges (new LED bulbs), turn signals, windshield wipers, windhsield washer pump, and horn work properly.
Engine compartment:
The engine compartment is highly detailed.
Trunk:
The trunk is nicely detailed. The spare tire compartment is rust-free and houses a new chrome wire wheel and the spinner and led hammer. The trunk mat and tonneau cover are like new.
This 1959 XK150's roadster is truly in an amazing condition and priced right. If you owned or purchased a nice original car similar to this one in need of full restoration for around $60k-$70k that requires full restoration, if you are lucky, it will take 3 years and over $120k to duplicate it.
This vehicle will be sold with an original owner's manual, a bill of sale, and a clear Commonwealth of Virginia title. Serious inquiries please. See less
