Our Take:
  • Rare Breed of the '80s Turbo Era: The 1989 Dodge Lancer Shelby Pacifica Turbo isn’t just any sedan; it’s a product of the high-performance collaboration between Dodge and the legendary Carroll Shelby. In a decade dominated by turbocharged excitement, this car stood out with its extra muscle and distinctive styling. Back then, Shelby's name was mostly associated with muscle cars, but the Lancer Pacifica offered a unique twist.
  • Limited Production Run: The Lancer Shelby Pacifica was part of a very limited production batch, making it a seldom-seen gem today. It’s the kind of car that doesn’t pop up often, especially outside of car shows or collector’s garages. Those who spot one typically feel a nostalgic tug, remembering the days when American brands were experimenting with European-style turbo performance.
  • Performance Mods Galore: This particular model isn’t your everyday ride—it’s been upgraded beyond its original specs. With a built motor, S60 turbo, and Spearco FMIC (Front-Mount Intercooler), it promises more power than the factory version. Such modifications are a double-edged sword: they can be a thrilling experience for the dedicated enthusiast, yet may also demand a bit of mechanical sympathy.
  • West Coast Survivor: Shipped from the West Coast and boasting a rust-free underside, this Lancer has eluded the notorious rust belt damage typical of many vintage cars. Despite needing a new paint job, its healthy undercarriage is a promising slate for restoration. So, while you might need a trailer to take it home due to the starter circuit issue, consider it a rolling piece of history worth the effort.
