Description

Up for sale 1984 Maserati Quattroporte. Less than 50k miles on the original V8 motor. Car has original tools, manuals/books with leatherette holder. Leather is in excellent condition I have some more photos just ask. Car turned over when I had first gotten it 2 years ago, it had a rough idle and would stop running. I haven’t put any time into it. Previous owner used it as their daily around town. Car will need to be towed...

Our Take:
  • Grand Touring with Italian Flair: The 1984 Maserati Quattroporte represents the third generation of this iconic sedan—a blend of Italian luxury and performance rarely seen in modern cars. The name "Quattroporte" quite literally means "four doors" in Italian, but it’s not just any four-door. It symbolizes a time when Maserati was among the select few manufacturers daring enough to challenge the German and American luxury sedans with its own brand of elegance and speed.
  • V8 Prowess: Under the hood, you've got the heart of a lion—an original V8 engine that, even in its day, was known for its robust performance. These engines were designed by Maserati's vaunted engineers, offering a symphony of mechanical orchestration that could coax a symphonic roar out of its tailpipes. However, given its rough idle currently, it might need a bit of TLC to sing again.
  • Rarity and Authenticity: With less than 50,000 miles on the odometer, this Quattroporte is practically a time capsule. Original tools and manuals reflect a care and preservation that hint at true collector's value. These touches of authenticity are like finding a vintage Ferrari with its original toolkit—a rarity that enhances the vehicle's cachet amongst collectors and enthusiasts alike.
  • Design Heritage: This era of the Quattroporte is marked by its angular, classic lines—designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro. Known for his definitive work with the likes of the DeTomaso and the Volkswagen Golf, Giugiaro imbued the Quattroporte with a sleek yet muscular silhouette that remains distinctive even today. It's a rolling piece of art that speaks volumes about the era's design ethos.
