This 1991 example has 180,000 miles and was originally produced for the German home market and comes finished in Amazon Green Metallic over a light grey Leather to Sample interior. It is one of only 470 GTs built for markets outside of North America (RoW) for the model year and was reportedly used by the Porsche factory as an executive car before being sold to a private owner in Germany who was a friend of the Piech family. It was imported to the U.S. in 1998 by the same owner and was eventually acquired by the seller in 2016. Under the current ownership, this 928 underwent a motor rebuild including the installation of a custom 1.8L Eaton supercharger kit. It also received a rebuilt suspension, upgraded GTS brakes, an upgraded cooling system, and new Sport Seats with custom laser-etched Pascha inserts. This 928 GT came out of factory with this rare Amazon Green Metallic matching rear spoiler, an optional electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, clear Euro-spec turn signals, polished dual tailpipes, and upgraded red brake calipers sourced from a 928 GTS. It rides on custom 17” Phone Dial wheels by Augment Wheel Co. measuring 8.5” ET66 in front and 10.5” ET51 in the rear. The seller notes new Nitto NT555 G2 tires were mounted in 2023. The car is said to have been completely refinished under prior ownership in 2008, and the front bumper, hood, and fenders were refinished again in 2019 by the current owner to address road-going wear. The engine in this 928 has been rebuilt with new seals, belts, hoses, mounts, and a new water pump as well as a custom 1.8L Eaton supercharger and intercooler, custom fuel rails, a Sharktune, an upgraded fuel system, an upgraded cooling system, and an X-pipe exhaust system with a custom muffler. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle featuring a custom Tilton twin-disc high-performance clutch, a custom Hans shifter, and upgraded torque tube bearings. Upgraded 928 GTS brakes have been installed and paired with braided stainless steel lines. The steering rack has been rebuilt and the suspension has been overhauled with new ball joints, tie rods, bushings, and Porsche sport shock absorbers.
